WHERE TO FIND A FOX IN MINECRAFT
Minecraft foxes are nocturnal animals.
This means they come out at night, when it’s dark.
So when you are beginning your search to look for them, you will have to do so when it is dark.
You have to know that things get a little more dangerous when you are around.
For newcomers; fending off anything that might want to attack your new pet and turn it into dinner is something you must do, before going to search for a fox.
Taiga biomes are where foxes can be found at night, this is because they usually like to rest in leafy forests.
Foxes can be found in the following Taiga Biomes –
- Snow Taiga Biomes,
- Giant Tree Taiga,
- They can also be found in Taiga Villages that are kicking around your world [where they go to prey on chickens at night]
Additionally, Foxes have a small chance of spawning as cubs.
Furthermore, Foxes will be white instead of the classic russet with white tails, if you are in a Snow Taiga Biome.
Furthermore, foxes that spawn in Forest Biomes are red.
There is a 20% chance that foxes spawn holding things like – Leather, Rabbit Foot, Egg, Feather, Wheat, an Emerald, Rabbit Hide.
USE SWEET BERRIES
Foxes are a little shy, just like some other creatures in Minecraft,… so you will have to sneak when you are approaching them.
You will notice this sometimes when night has fallen and the foxes you have found just keep scampering away from you.
Having a sweet berry on hand is a simple and easy way of closing the gap between humans and foxes.
Foxes love berries, and to make them more comfortable with you, make sure you have enough berries before getting close to the foxes and making any interaction with them.
When you see little hearts blooming overhead, it is a sure sign that your gift has been received by the foxes.
Whenever you are able to achieve this enough times, The happy fox will be tamed and become your friend.
Normally four or more helpings of the berries will do the trick.
Two foxes fed with Sweet Berries in the same area as each other, and tamed together will have a chance to procreate.
Additionally, whenever foxes trust you, occasionally they will pick up things with their mouth and bring them to you.
They also love to pick-up food items, which they will eventually eat.
Also they can pick-up anything a player can pick, that is around them.
They normally bring feathers, but surely that is not the only thing they can bring when they are given the opportuinity.
WHEN FOXES ARE BRED IN MINECRAFT THEY ARE AUTOMATICALLY TAME
If you want to tame an army of foxes in Minecraft, it probably would be a bit like Sweet berries being chucked into an animal-shaped vacuum.
It would be so if not for a simple and easy save:
This simple save is that any fox that is the product of two tamed foxes will automatically be born tame…. Exactly!
Really, you only have to use the Sweet Berries on the original breeding pair of foxes.
Whenever that is done, the offspring of the original breeding pair will automatically be tame and warm-up to you.
Additionally, note that the foxes are quick to scamper off whenever the sun rises.
If keeping a large fox-pack is something you want to do, you will have to fence the foxes in.
Instead of following the player around, fox cubs will stick and stay close to their parents.
So while you are knee-deep in bashing enemies, you do not have to worry about having a hanger-on.
Enemies who are harming you, will be harmed by the foxes that are trusting enough.
Although, we would like to leave the cubs out of it for now.
Lastly, now that you have a clear and better idea of how to tame a fox in Minecraft, all you have to do is to venture forth into your choice biomes, and get some loyal furry pets for yourself.
Remember that all you now need is a healthy dose of patience and Sweet Berries.
Also, you need supplies for scouting in the night-time till you find those cute furry creatures.
